What's the Trial Checklist?

After successfully signing up for a trial account, you'll see a 'Getting Started' onboarding checklist at the bottom left of your dashboard. When you click on it, it will give you the below checklist. Ideally, these should walk you through how to utilize Surfer to its fullest. 🚀

If you noticed, there's a task that says Earn 1 AI and 3 CE credits!

This is the Trial Completion Checklist reward, and you should receive the trial reward after you've written and optimized your first article. Just aim for a green score in the meter, and you're all set. Neat, right?! 😊

Add-ons

While Audit and SERP Analyzer do not come with a trial version, you can purchase 1 on-demand Surfer AI credit on top of the 1 free AI credit we offer. This is the only on-demand purchase you can make during the trial phase.

However, after moving to your scheduled plan subscription, you can still purchase Audit and/or SERP Analyzer. 😊

Is it possible to change the plan I initially selected mid-trial?

Yes, but you would need to ask our Support agents for help! Please send us a message mentioning which plan you would like to start after the trial, and we will take care of the rest.

Do I need to provide credit card information to start the trial?

Yes, Surfer requires a credit card on file for validation purposes and to ensure a seamless transition should you continue with the subscription past the trial period.

How long is my trial period, and when does it end?

Your trial period lasts exactly seven days. While there's no option to extend its duration, you can choose to begin your paid subscription early at any time during the trial.

What happens when my trial expires?

Your chosen paid plan will begin automatically at the end of your trial period, and your card will be charged.

Can I purchase a paid plan during the trial if I run out of credits?

Yes, you can easily start your subscription during the trial via our pricing page.

Can I purchase AI credits during the trial period?

During the trial period, you may purchase only 1 Surfer AI credit. It's important to note that any AI credits purchased during, and after the trial period are not eligible for a refund.

Can I use the trial version if I have another paid subscription?

No, the trial can only be enabled for customers who have never had a paid subscription before or have never had a trial pack before. Current subscribers are not eligible for the trial.​

Will my Completion Checklist rewards expire?

If your reward credits remain unused during your trial period, these should carry over to your new subscription and will be used first.

What happens with my unused credits after I purchase a subscription?

Your unused trial credits will not be transferred to your new plan. However, your completion checklist reward credits will!

What happens with my unused credits if I don't purchase a subscription?

After you decide to cancel, you won't have access to any credits, regardless of whether they were unused trial credits or a reward from completing checklists.

Can I purchase add-ons such as Audit or SERP Analyzer during my trial period?

During your trial, you’ll only be able to try out our core solutions. However, you can proceed with buying add-ons after the trial period.

Can I get more Content Editor credits during my trial?

You can create and optimize your content via Content Editor to earn more credits during the trial phase. You'll earn additional 3 Content Editor credits and 1 Surfer AI credit once you've hit a green score in the meter!

Can I get a trial extension?

Sadly, the trial period is strictly limited to 7 days, and we cannot provide extensions. Kindly be mindful of the limited time.

What happens when I cancel my trial?

You may go to Your Plan to cancel your trial, click on Cancel request, and confirm to proceed. You will have the option to choose a new plan to move forward with after the seven-day window. All unused credits during your trial period will be forfeited.

Can I sign up for another trial if I had one before?

The free trial offer is only available for any user who has never signed up for a trial pack or has never purchased a subscription before.

Can I have a trial of my chosen plan?

Currently, the trial coverage only includes our core tools. Once your trial window is over, you can easily move to your selected plan.

Can I get a refund for the trial?

Since the 7-day free trial was released to replace the 7-day Money-back Guarantee, we cannot refund the purchase once it rolls over after the trial period.
