What happens after I cancel?

Will I be able to access my queries after the subscription ends?

Updated over 10 months ago

How does canceling work?

By clicking "Cancel subscription" on Your Plan page, you schedule your subscription and any add-ons to expire at the end of your current billing period.

Once your subscription has been canceled, you will still have access to all previously made Content Editor drafts, Audit reports, Keyword Research queries, and SERP Analyzer results, though it will be read-only, and you won't be able to create any new queries.

All queries are safely stored within our database, and once your Surfer subscription is reactivated, you’ll be able to use the same account, and your past drafts will become editable again.

What happens to my add-ons if my subscription has been canceled?

When you cancel your subscription, your add-ons will also be set to cancel automatically at the end of its billing cycle. However, without an active subscription, you won't be able to use your add-ons if they are set to cancel after the subscription.

If you forgot about your Surfer plan renewal and had an overdue invoice with mail payment reminders, your subscription won't be canceled immediately after you press the Cancel button, as another billing month has already started.

What happens to my AI credits?

Any unused on-demand AI credits will remain on your account, and you will be able to use them once you reactivate your plan.

AI credits that come with your monthly allocation (Scale AI plan) will be forfeited once your plan has been canceled.
