๐Ÿš€ Introducing Content Editor Collaboration

Multiple Contributors, One Content Editor

We're thrilled to bring a new, commonly requested feature designed to enhance your team's collaboration experience.ย If you're working in pairs or a team, we've got you covered because multiple people can work simultaneously on the same document!

Let's dive into the exciting details!

Edit the Same Draft Together๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿผโ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿป

You can now work on the same document simultaneously with your other teammates. Say goodbye to the read-only mode whenever someone else opens up the article!ย

COMING SOON!ย Leave and Receive Comments ๐Ÿ“ข

Keep the article-related discussions within your documents by adding comments to specific sections. Engage in conversations, offer feedback, assign to-do lists, and keep the collaborative spirit alive. This feature will be released very soon, so stay tuned!

FAQ

Does Collaboration work through shareable links?

Yes - Collaboration will work for anyone accessing the draft, regardless of whether through a shareable link or directly from the Surfer dashboard.

Is it included in my plan?

Collaboration is included in all Surfer plans without paying extra for it.

I have a draft created before this feature was released - will Collaboration work there?

It will only work for Editors created after the feature was released (full release: March 11). If your draft does not support collaboration, you will see "non collaborative" information at the bottom.

Who can be tagged in a comment? (comments coming soon)

You can only tag your organization's members. To add a member to the organization, you must send them an invitation link, which can be found here. They must set up their own Surfer account but can join Surfer under your subscription.

Who can leave a comment? (comments coming soon)

Anyone with access to the Content Editor can leave a comment, regardless if they are a member of the organization.
