Your favorite season of the year is finally here! And this time, it includes both our regular offer and recently released AI plans! Starting Friday, Nov 24th to the end of Friday, Dec 1st, we will have discounted prices on all our plans. If you are new to Surfer or have an active subscription but are considering upgrading (including upgrading to any AI plan), this is your chance to save big! Here’s how:
All yearly subscriptions get a total of 30% off (one-time discount). Applies to new subscriptions and upgrades to the next tier (including switching from monthly to yearly plans).

Want more AI credits? Buy any AI bundle (an on-demand AI package) between Nov 24th and Dec 8th and reclaim up to 50 AI credits extra, on top of your Organization's in-game limit! You can purchase as many packages as you want.
How to enter the game
Have an active subscription
Navigate to the game by clicking on the game logo placed in the bottom-left corner of your Surfer dashboard.
How to Reclaim Content Editor Credits
Create new articles with Content Editor during the game period (Nov 24th - Dec 8th EOD).
Refine until you reach a green Content Score (66% Content Score and above).
Click "Reclaim" in the Mission Banner - you can access it directly in your open article or from the game's dashboard.
After that, a credit will be automatically assigned back to your Organization! 1 Content Editor article created during the game = 1 credit available to reclaim.
You can reclaim a limited amount of credits per Organization: up to a monthly credit limit per your current plan, regardless of your billing cycle.
Example: Both Max AI monthly and annual can reclaim up to 90 Content Editor articles during the game and up to 20 Surfer AI credits (monthly limits per plan), and so on.
Limits for Enterprise plans are based on a monthly credit limit of plan Max and Max AI.
You can track both the limit and your progress within the game's dashboard.
Note: The total credits you can claim back do not include credits added to your account manually by support or through perks earned in previous Black Fridays. For example, if you are on the Pro plan with 30 monthly Content Editor credits + 15 Content Editor credits added from last Black Friday as perks, you can only claim up to 30 Content Editors.

You can buy as many AI bundles as you want and reclaim up to 50 extra Surfer AI credits from them within the game, on top of your plan's limits.

Rules of the Game
You can only reclaim AI/Content Editor credits during the game period (Nov 24th - Dec 8th EOD).
You can reclaim credits up to your Organization's limit.
You can increase your Organization's limit by purchasing AI bundles during the game period.
You can purchase multiple AI bundles during the game period but reclaim only up to 50 extra Surfer AI credits on top of your Organization's in-game limit.
AI credits that you had before the Black Friday Promo, will not be eligible to reclaim within the game.
Only Content Editor/AI article queries created during the game period can be reclaimed.
You can play the game regardless of your current plan.

Moving up to a more expensive plan, whether with AI or not, is considered an upgrade. Similarly, moving down to a cheaper plan, with or without AI, is deemed a downgrade.
Examples:
User is on Advanced ($179), but wants to switch to Essential AI ($139) - this is a downgrade.
User is on Essential AI ($139), but wants to switch to Advanced ($179) - this is an upgrade.
User is on Essential AI ($139), but wants to switch to Essential ($89) - this is a downgrade.
User is on monthly Essential AI, but wants to switch to yearly Advanced ($149 per month, $1788 per year) - this is an upgrade.

If you upgrade your plan during the game, we will increase your claim back credit limit to match your new plan's monthly limit.

No, downgrading from your current Black Friday package will revoke your Black Friday discount. In addition, if you reclaimed any Black Friday credits and downgrade afterwards, you will lose your reclaimed credits.

This depends on the package you purchased. The 10% discount for monthly plans will be valid for the first six months. The 30% discount on annual plans will be valid for an entire year (first purchase). It will revert to the usual annual discount per consecutive year afterward.

Yes! You can now purchase AI credits with 30% discount until Saturday, 2nd Dec, at 00:00 AM UTC. What's more, you can double credits from each package purchased between Nov 24th and Dec 8th for free within the game. There are no limitations on the amount of bundles you can purchase, but you can reclaim only up to 50 AI credits (outside of your AI plans limits).

During the game, all users will be able to access the game dashboard with a dedicated counter live-tracking the number of credits they’ve reclaimed and a timer showing the time left until the end of the game.

Anyone in the organization can reclaim the credits if the article meets the criteria for the claim-back as per the game's rules:
- For Content Editor credits: reaching green score & clicking "Reclaim" in a Mission Verifier.
- For Surfer AI credits: publishing generated article, copy-pasting published URL into Mission Verifier, and meeting the criteria (published article has to be at least 75% alike with the Surfer AI article).

No. Unfortunately, on-demand AI credits bought before the Black Friday Promo won't be eligible to claim back. You need to buy AI credits during the game period to be able to reclaim them.

No. You can work on your articles outside of the Surfer app but you can only reclaim credits directly from the Surfer app.
