That’s because Surfer analyzes your organic competitors. As long as your keyword and target location reflect the language and region you're aiming for, your guidelines will match, no matter which language you're working in.
AI-generated Outlines in the Content Editor work in all languages.
You can create a Content Editor, Keyword Research, Sites (Content Audit) project, Topical Map, or Audit for any language and location.
💡 Writing in a non-official language?
If you, for example, want to write in Spanish and target the United States, use a Spanish keyword when creating your query and select “United States - ES” as your targeted location.
The “-ES”, “-EN”, “-FR”, etc., at the end of country names are language indicators, allowing you to target various language versions of a location-specific SERP.

Can you add new locations?
If your desired location is a city, a town, or a country, we can add it to the locations list. Just reach out to our Support Team via live chat or email.
Note: Newly added locations will not appear on the Keyword Research and Topic Research lists. This is because these tools are database-dependent.
Can you add other languages to the existing locations?
Yes, if you want to write content in a different language for one of the countries on our list, just let us know, and we will add the proper language variant to the system.
