1. What is Writesonic?

Writersonic is a standalone tool that allows you to generate content through AI for different formats, such as articles, blogs, product descriptions, etc.

2. How does the integration work, and what is required?

With our integration, you will get access to a new option called SEO mode in your Writesonic dashboard. The SEO mode allows you to use one of our tools – Content Editor, directly inside your Writesonic documents to improve the content prepared by Writesonic SEO-wise.

💡 To use the integration, there are two main requirements:

  • an active subscription to Writersonic

  • an active subscription to Surfer

Any paid plan will work, and free plans are excluded from integrations.

Your Surfer and Writesonic logins do not have to be the same - browser cookies will do the magic!

3. Setting up the integration

Once you have ensured your subscriptions are active and you are logged into both accounts simultaneously, you want to verify your Writesonic settings by following these steps:

  • Access the user menu from the top-right corner

  • Select Integrations

  • Activate the toggle for Surfer SEO

You're all set!

4. Accessing the SEO mode

Once you're connected, you should now see our integration when accessing the editor on Writesonic. So to get started, you can create a new document or select one of your existing documents.

Then, click on the SEO mode option available in the top panel to connect your document with an existing Content Editor. You can also create a new Content Editor directly from Writesonic now, which will cost you one of your credits.

⚠️ The integration allows you to link existing Surfer guidelines and create new ones directly in Writesonic, but there’s no sync for content. You will need to copy-paste the content manually from one Editor to another.

5. Sharing a draft link

Please, keep in mind that while your Editor is linked to Writesonic, you will not be able to create a Sharable link anymore, and your previously shared links for this particular draft will expire. However, you can always disconnect a linked Content Editor by clicking on the paperclip button and then generate a new shareable link directly from Content Editor at Surfer.
