"Websites not found" message / I do not see the domain I want to add

First, please make sure that your desired domain is connected as a property to one of your Google Search Consoles from this list. You need to have your desired domain connected to the Google Search Console that has been integrated with your Surfer account. You can add multiple consoles here by clicking the Sign in with the Google button.

Next, please check the Google Search Console data for your desired domain. Specifically, you will need to make sure that your domain is making at least 100 impressions per day.

If you do not have any domains connected to your Google Search Console yet, here's a guide on how to do that.

If, after connecting your Google Search Console, you see this message, most likely, you’re missing the necessary permissions for Google Search Console.

Another possibility is that you do not have any property connected to your console yet.

If you can confirm that your domains are connected to your Google Search Consoles, next, it would be best to reconnect your Google Search Console to ensure you’ve given Surfer all the necessary permissions. Even if you had your Google Search Console connected previously, we recommend reconnecting it again to ensure the connection established is fresh.

  1. Click on the arrow next to the Surfer logo and choose “Google Search Console Integration” from the dropdown.

  2. You’ll then see a page with your Google account information.

  3. Select “Disconnect account” and use the “Sign in with Google” button to connect to your Google Search Console again.

  4. Make sure to check the last box and give Surfer proper permissions.

5. Voilà! You should now be able to use Grow Flow without any problems :)

I only see the X location on the list, but I want to target a different one

The locations list is auto-populated based on the countries where your domain is already making 100 impressions daily - you will only see the locations that are already generating high traffic for your website.

Example 1: Your domain is making 500 impressions per day.

  • 150 in Poland

  • 300 in the US

  • 50 in Japan

In this case, you will only see Poland or the US as available markets to target; as for those locations, the 100 impressions per day requirement is met.

Example 2: Your domain is making 100 impressions per day.

  • 30 in Poland

  • 40 in the US

  • 30 in Japan

In this case, you will only see the US as an available market to target. When your domain is making 100 impressions per day but does not make 100 for one specific country, we will pull the location that is generating the most impressions.

Please note that we are always pulling the data from the last 3-7 days - so depending on the day, you may be seeing a different location, especially if your domain is fairly new. If you do not see your desired location today, you may still be able to target it tomorrow, next week, or next month.

I do not see Grow Flow tool on my dashboard at all

If you do not see Grow Flow on your dashboard, most likely you either:

  • created your account after August 16th, 2023

  • used Grow Flow in the past but canceled your subscription or asked for your projects to be disconnected

  • or created your account before August 16th, 2023, but never used Grow Flow

Starting August 14th, 2023, Grow Flow support has been disabled, which is why new users to Surfer or new users to this tool, in general, do not have access to it.
